I've just managed to solo him in LFR as a 431 ret paladin, and the biggest reason it was even possible was Beacon to the Beyond trinket (LFR with 8/8 upgrade, ilvl 424) which crit for ~935K. Start the fight, watch DBM for the first MC orb countdown, bubble before it lands, wings + beacon to the beyond trinket + nuke. Kil'Jaeden and Eonar are still huge pains to solo. Despite the promises that the Legion raids would now fall under legacy guidelines and be soloable pretty easily, lots of encounters are still extremely screwy to solo, especially KJ and Eonar.
